Castles and amazing feats of engineering.

Today we visited Stirling Castle and thanks to our own personal guide (Alisdaire) we learnt lots about the history not only of the castle but also Scotland. Some of it I can not repeat on this blog.
Just some of the castle.
Yes she is real and she spoke just like a Scottish Queen.
He is also real and only slightly cuter than the queen.
The tapestry was amazing.
Och aye, in our rightful place King Phillip and Queen Sandy.
This one is for Jess, a drum that was hit by a bullet in the Boer War. Used by tha Argyll and Sutherland
Battalion.
The ceiling was just as amazing as everything else in the castle.
Next was the Falkirk Wheel which replaced up to 7 locks on the canal and is an awesome piece of engineering.
Tomorrow we head further south after a very interesting week in Scotland. Then off to Paris for a few days before meeting with Matt again for a few days in Barcelona. Phew time marches on and before you know it we will be home.
